Niceo · last updated 8 September 2026
Write to info@niceo.app. A person reads it. We answer within two working days, and usually the same day — Niceo is small enough that there is no queue to get stuck in.
If you are writing about something that happened at an event, tell us which event and roughly when. That is normally enough for us to find it.
The code did not arrive
There is no password: you type your email address and we send a six-digit code. If it has not arrived within a minute, check the spam folder — a first message from an unfamiliar sender often lands there. Ask for a new code rather than reusing an old one; they expire after an hour and only work once.
Still nothing? Write to us from the address you are trying to use, and we will look at what happened to it.
You cannot get into your email any more
Your account is your email address, so if that mailbox is gone we cannot move the account to a new one without proof it is yours — an account somebody else can claim is not a safe account. Write to us and we will work out what evidence makes sense.
Someone is behaving badly
Every card in a room and every conversation has a menu that lets you block or report that person. Blocking is immediate, mutual and permanent. A person reads every report within 24 hours, and we remove accounts over a single one where it is warranted.
If you feel unsafe at an event, tell the organiser and the venue first. We can remove someone from Niceo; we cannot remove them from the building.
Notifications are not arriving
On an iPhone, notifications only work if Niceo has been added to the home screen — that is Apple’s rule for web apps, not ours. Open Niceo in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and turn notifications on from Your badge. If they are blocked in your browser settings, no switch inside the app can undo that.
You want your data, or you want out
Your badge has a button that downloads everything we hold about you as a file, and another that deletes your account immediately. If you have already uninstalled the app, the account deletion page explains how to do it from a browser.
Questions about what we store and why go to privacy@niceo.app — the privacy policy answers most of them already.
You are an organiser
Rooms are opened by hand at the moment, which means talking to us. Write to info@niceo.app with the event, the dates and roughly how many people you expect.
