Delete your account
Niceo · last updated 7 September 2026
You can delete your Niceo account yourself, at any time, without asking anyone and without giving a reason. It takes effect immediately.
If you still have the app
Open Niceo, go to Your badge, and choose Delete account. That is the whole thing. On the way out you can also download everything we hold about you as a file.
If you have already uninstalled it
You do not need to reinstall anything. There is no password to remember either — go to niceo.app, type the email address you used, and we send you a six-digit code. Sign in, open Your badge, and delete.
If you cannot get into that mailbox any more, write to privacy@niceo.app from any address and tell us which account you mean. We will need to be reasonably sure it is yours before we delete it — an account somebody else can delete on your behalf is not a safe account. We answer within 30 days and usually within two working days.
What deletion removes
Straight away, and for good:
- your name, photo, role, company, sector, bio and link;
- every swipe you made and every swipe about you;
- your membership of every room, and your badge numbers;
- your blocks, your event code attempts and your notification subscriptions;
- your email address, which is scrambled so the account cannot be signed into again.
What stays, and why
Messages you sent stay in the conversation of the person you sent them to, shown as coming from a deleted account — no name, no photo, no profile to open. That thread is their record of a meeting they had, and we do not think one side should be able to erase the other side’s copy of it. An empty row remains in our sign-in system purely to keep those threads from breaking; it holds no name and no address.
Reports made about an account are kept for up to 12 months after they are resolved, so that a pattern across several events stays visible. Deleting an account is not a way to clear them.
