Niceo is a networking app for business events. You make one badge, join the room for an event with a code, and swipe through the people also in that room. This page says what we keep, why, and how to make it go away.

The controller is DX Machina s.r.o., Kukučínova 14, Bratislava, Slovakia. Reach us at privacy@niceo.app.

What we store

Who sees what

Your badge and your event note are visible only to people in the same room. Not publicly, not to other events, not to search engines.

Swipes are never visible to anyone but you. Nobody can find out that you passed on them — not the other person, not the organiser. That is enforced in the database, not only in the app.

The event organiser gets no access to your profile or your matches through Niceo. They already know who they invited; that relationship is theirs, and they are a separate controller for it.

Why we are allowed to

Running the app for you is a contract: without a badge there is nothing to show the room. Keeping a conversation readable to the person you spoke with is a legitimate interest — they have a right to their own messages even after you leave.

Who else touches it

There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking, which is also why this site has no cookie banner. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

How long

Your badge stays until you delete it. If you do not sign in for 24 months, we delete the account for you.

What you can do

Under Your badge you can download everything we hold about you as a file, and delete your account. Deleting removes your badge, your photo, your swipes and your room memberships. Messages you sent stay in the other person’s conversation with your name removed — that thread is their record as much as yours.

You can also object, ask us to correct something, or complain to the Slovak data protection authority at dataprotection.gov.sk.
